Retail Change & Operations Apprentice |

Why do you enjoy your job?

As part of the Apprenticeship scheme, I rotate through the various teams within Retail Change and Operations (RCO). I enjoy this because I am always learning about new areas of the business and working with a range of people to develop my personal and technical skills within the workplace. I particularly enjoy the analysis types of work because I have a good eye for detail and am comfortable communicating internally in order to gather information.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

When working with a vast range of people, it can be difficult to gauge how individuals work and communicate. This can differ significantly and must be consciously observed whenever working with new people.

How did you get into your job?

I came straight from sixth form aged 18 and applied directly through the M&G Investments* website.

What are your future aspirations?

I would like to become an influential member of the RCO team working on projects, primarily in an analysis role. I would also like to become an ambassador for apprenticeships and the various schemes involved.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

Investment20/20 has provided me with invaluable and enriching opportunities during my time on the programme. This has included meeting trainees from across the industry with similar interests and experiences, as well as industry insights events which help to educate and inspire future career paths. I have also been fortunate enough to be a member of the Investment20/20 forum where the central aim is to create experiences that are beneficial for trainees.
