My experience since joining Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM) four months ago as part of the Investment20/20 scheme has been insightful, eye-opening, challenging and rewarding. My role as a valuations analyst sits within the investment operations department where we produce accurate and timely daily valuations for over 200 pooled life and pension funds. Being in this role has allowed me to develop a thorough understanding of different financial products, how they are traded in the markets and how they fit together to form our wide range of portfolios. I work within a fantastic team who are very supportive and are always willing to answer my questions. LGIM has also given me a number of opportunities to improve my knowledge within the industry by encouraging me to attend courses to learn as much as I can about the finance sector.
