Why do you enjoy your job?
In my role, I produce and distribute marketing content from all of our investment teams, keeping my job varied and interesting, whilst also allowing me to learn more about our products and how they work. Channel marketing gives me the opportunity to be involved in the many different aspects of marketing such as design, digital marketing, compliance, advertising and events. I am also able to see my work through from content creation to completion and distribution which is really satisfying.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
Working on several different projects at the same time means I have to keep myself organised to keep on top of where every piece of work is at, and what needs to be completed by when. Having a supportive team makes this much easier as there is always someone to lend a hand if I find myself struggling with a piece of work.
How did you get into your job?
When I was looking for a job for my placement year, my sister, who works in the industry, told me about the Investment20/20 programme. I applied for a few different positions but was really keen on the Invesco Perpetual opening, as I really liked the company and the role was based in the area I most wanted to work in.
What are your future aspirations?
Currently, my main focus is on returning to university to finish my degree, but I am eager to begin looking for graduate roles to pursue my career in finance with a year of industry experience under my belt.
How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Investment20/20 experience. The events have been a great way to learn from industry experts and network with others who are new to the industry. I would recommend a role with Investment20/20 to anyone looking to start a career in finance.
