Why do you enjoy your job?

I am someone who is very motivated to learn, which is why I’ve found my role’s constant development and learning really appealing. I have also really embraced the team atmosphere within Business Performance and Planning.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

The role I am in has a very steep learning curve which can sometimes make the job feel rather daunting. Learning about company financials as well as basic accounting practices has been tough but I do enjoy putting myself outside my comfort zone, so this is something I have embraced.

How did you get into your job?

After seven years as a professional golfer I was looking for a change. I came across the job application and was attracted by the fact that it mentioned it may suit people looking for a career change. I have always been interested in the financial industry and this looked like a fantastic way for someone with little to no experience to get involved.

What are your future aspirations?

Currently my plans revolve around getting investment qualifications in the form of IMC before potentially moving forward with further examinations.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

Overall I have found the Investment20/20 scheme to be a hugely positive experience.
