Why do you enjoy your job?

I really enjoy working in the finance department because I view it as a great entry point to not just the financial industry but to all business in general. Knowing how a business works and understanding financial statements is crucial no matter which path I take in the future so I really enjoy learning all that I can here.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

I studied business management in the United States in which accounting policies are different than those used in the UK. Not only that, I must also get used to the jargon and culture on this side of the Atlantic as well. It is difficult but a valuable learning experience.

How did you get into your job?

After spending four years in an American university I wanted to see the world and work in another country and the UK was always one of my top choices. I didn’t initially know about Janus Henderson, but I had heard of the Investment20/20 initiative and had begun my search there.

What are your future aspirations?

Still early to tell, I will try to stay in the financial industry if I can as I really love this industry.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

It is a wonderful foot in the door experience at some of London’s best asset management firms and a fantastic opportunity for all seeking to enter.
