Why do you enjoy your job?

There are numerous areas in IT development to specialise in. I have spent the majority of the year working on projects encompassing data. I had previously learnt and worked with programming languages so I felt I had a good basis to draw upon for the area. Development particularly interested me due to its problem solving nature; for this reason I feel I have been able to get the most out of my work, developing my skills daily.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Having to work under strict time constraints was initially very challenging. Whilst challenging I am now able to work well under pressurised situations without letting standards of my work slip.

How did you get into your job?

As I was unsure about whether I was suited to university the Investment20/20 scheme was a perfect opportunity to get a foot into a career which I intended to pursue. Therefore I chose to come straight from school into the scheme. The Investment20/20 scheme has allowed me to get a wholesome outlook of the finance and asset management industry whilst also giving me the opportunity to develop my skills within the development field.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Investment20/20 experience. The seminars, insights and social events have made the experience particularly special. The opportunity to attain certain qualifications within the finance industry will certainly help with future progression within my career. I feel the experience and skills I have gained are invaluable.
