Why do you enjoy your job?

The central purpose of the FOGC team is to manage the business risks and controls of the front office according the prevailing risk appetite. This means that on a day to day basis I operate at the intersection of different business areas including Compliance, Operations and of course, the Front Office. It is this exposure to a cross-section of business areas, individuals and projects that I enjoy most.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

At least initially, it was the industry jargon that was the trickiest to take on board, particularly in such a fast paced environment. Fortunately, Janus Henderson’s sponsorship of the IMC exam and the ongoing in-house training means that it won’t be a challenge for long!

How did you get into your job?

During and after completing an undergraduate and postgraduate degree, both at London universities, I undertook a number of internships in the UK and Asia which led to this trainee opportunity at Janus Henderson. Investment20/20 opened the door to priceless industry experience and insight, as well as providing the confidence to pursue a long-term career in the investment management industry.

What are your future aspirations?

I was very fortunate to find both a role and a team that I could picture myself working in moving forwards. At this moment in time, my central aspiration is to do the best job I possibly can!

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

The chance to prove what I can do.
