Why do you enjoy your job?

I am a Digital Marketing Analyst working for The Investment Association (IA) – a trade body that represents UK investment managers. The digital world is incredible – I get front row seats to watch an industry grow, change and evolve. This role has taught me a diverse range of skills, opening up exciting opportunities in a number of digital projects such as optimizing digital marketing campaigns, maximising engagement which has effectively generated profit for the commercial business department. I am always in a continuous state of learning, not only does this fuel my creativity but my passion for digital marketing. I recommend it as a career path!

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

I started my role as a Trainee Administrator working with two businesses – The Investment Association and Investment20/20. The most challenging part of the role was managing competing demands and priorities for different bosses with different expectations. In order to coordinate effectively and find a working balance, I have learned to take initiative, be proactive and transparent with my communication.

How did you get into your job?

I graduated in Business Information Systems and spent a year working for a company called IFDS as a Application Support Analyst . I wanted a complete career change as I wasn’t learning new skills or making a valuable impact. After discovering Investment20/20, I was able to kick start my Digital career and get my foot in the door to the Investment Management industry.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

“Extraordinary, Investment20/20 is a game-changer”. I consider myself lucky to have received a unique opportunity to work with two fantastic businesses. Not only have I gained invaluable experience, I was able to make an impact, “see change take place”. Collaborating with diverse colleagues and working as part of a team, I have learned so many important personal and professional key life lessons.
