Personal Assistant Apprentice |
School/College Leaver

Why do you enjoy your job?

I work as an apprentice personal assistant. I am highly organised in managing and adapting to the manager’s needs. I am also good at multitasking, helping others and communicating with various levels of managers which are key skills required of the role.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

It is a challenge adapting to the changing needs and priorities of the senior manager’s calendar.

How did you get into your job?

I started researching apprenticeships and top companies to work for while at college. I was interested in the financial world and started looking at Prudential which led me to M&G Investments* and the apprenticeship scheme. Through my research I found an apprenticeship that really appealed to my aspirations. After several stages of the application process including online tests, a video interview stage and two face to face interviews I got the role.

What are your future aspirations?

The dream plan would be to get exposure to the marketing world in my company and to start a career in marketing – this was the module I enjoyed the most during my apprenticeship studies.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

Investment20/20 has particularly helped my confidence with networking and meeting new people and understanding the investment industry a lot better. It also gave me a massive insight to my personal branding and how much this can impact my success. I found the scheme to be both fun and insightful.
