Why do you enjoy your job?
I work in the digital marketing team at Merian Global Investors. It is a very exciting time to be a member of this team with many large projects launching this year. The role has enabled me to learn HTML and CSS coding which is a valuable asset to have, with the importance of technology becoming ever present. I have also been given the responsibility to carry out my own projects which is extremely rewarding and a chance for me to prove my worth.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
In the digital marketing team we are continually updating content and documents on the website. There is no margin for error, so it is essential that I have impeccable attention to detail, as any mistakes could lead to a breach. Another challenging aspect of the role is juggling the BAU alongside the other projects that I am carrying out.
How did you get into your job?
I had always taken an interest in the financial services sector particularly the concept of asset management. In July 2016 I graduated from the University of Kent with the ambition to get a job in asset management; thankfully I came across Investment20/20. It has given me the all-important first step in to this industry. I have joined a company which provides me with an environment where I can develop my skills, expand my knowledge and establish myself in the industry.
How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?
Investment20/20 has provided me with an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the asset management industry. Throughout my Investment20/20 experience I have been focused on expanding my knowledge and taking on board all the advice my colleagues have given me knowing it will pay dividends in years to come. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
