Why do you enjoy your job?

I work with the UK retail sales team at Invesco, which mainly focuses on articulating our product range to advisers and platforms. My role includes providing updated information on our products, charting our performance relative to competitors within compliance boundaries and ensuring we have relevant information about our clients. This has used my organisational and analytical skills, but also involves a lot of communication with our clients – making it a genuinely diverse role. I really enjoy working in my team, as there is always a new challenge and idea to discuss.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Dealing with requests from the team can be the most difficult. There are many demands, which vary in urgency and importance, I have to often re-prioritise and manage my time efficiently to get all these requests completed by their deadlines.

How did you get into your job?

I left Magdalen College School in summer 2016, where I studied Maths, Further Maths, Economics and French at A level. From there I found the Investment20/20 programme and applied, leading me to my role at Invesco Perpetual.

What are your future aspirations?

For the short term, I plan to sit some professional qualifications to further my own understanding of the industry. After my one year placement I have decided to go on to study economics at University College London.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

I think it’s an amazing opportunity, especially for school leavers as it makes entry into the industry easier.
