Cazenove Capital Management

Client Service Executive |
School/College Leaver

Why do you enjoy your job?

I am a client service executive at Cazenove Capital Management. My role is to provide support to the portfolio managers, assisting them with reporting and the management of client portfolios. I am suited to my role as I am proficient at maintaining existing client relationships and building potential client relationships.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Organisation and prioritising tasks can be quite tricky at times due to the sheer volume of client accounts I am responsible for. Since I joined Cazenove in 2015 I have been given huge amounts of responsibility. I feel I have developed a great deal since joining Cazenove and am now a more self-assured individual.

How did you get into your job?

After leaving school at 15, I went straight into a job for a local building firm but quickly decided I needed to find a career with future prospects. I started looking at sales roles as I felt talking to people and building relationships is what I am best at and was lucky enough to get a job for O2, the phone retailer. At 17 though I took a long hard look at my future and realised I wanted more. Luckily I saw an advertisement for Investment20/20 roles in the city. I didn’t have the required qualifications at that time so I went back to school to sit two A-level equivalent courses externally whilst working full-time. The courses were very intensive but I persevered and completed both courses and was then able to apply for a position. I am pleased to say that after multiple interviews I was successful in gaining a client service support role at Schroders.

What are your future aspirations?

The last four years have been a bit of a whirl wind, from working on a building site to now having worked at Schroders and Cazenove Capital. I would like to prove that I am capable of excelling in my current role. The opportunities are endless and I would like to progress as much as I can.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

It doesn’t matter what background or qualifications you have, if you work hard and prove yourself to be good at your job anything is possible.
