Why do you enjoy your job?
I enjoy learning about the role and immersing myself in work that makes a valuable contribution to the team. I have learned a lot during my time at Schroders and I continue to learn something new every day. I have had the opportunity to work with other teams other than my own, such as corporate governance, which has given me an insight into the varied careers the investment management industry holds.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
The financial jargon can be difficult to get your head around, however studying for the Investment Foundations exam offered as part of the trainee year has helped in getting to grips with understanding more about the industry.
How did you get into your job?
I studied law at university and a friend suggested potential career opportunities within compliance. I was introduced to Investment20/20 and applied for roles through the programme, within compliance, and started my journey at Schroders.
How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?
I have learned so much during the year, both on the job and from the training days offered by the programme. I have developed my career aspirations and am grateful to have been part of an experience which gives you a fantastic foundation from which to launch a career in the investment industry.
