Why do you enjoy your job?

I work in the UK Wholesale Client Services team, looking after discretionary clients. This client facing role allows me to interact with different parts of the business as well as clients and is great for increasing my industry knowledge.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

The most challenging thing about my job has been getting up to speed with the rest of the team, as well as juggling a large number of tasks at once. However, this has resulted in an increased understanding of both the wider industry and the different facets of the business.

How did you get into your job?

I began working at Columbia Threadneedle Investments after graduating from my Master’s degree at the University of Exeter. Investment20/20 provides a great opportunity to get into asset management for those with degree or educational background perhaps less synonyms with a career in finance.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

My Investment20/20 experience has been an extremely positive one, which has seen me embark on a massive learning curve. It has pushed me to learn quickly and adapt to working in a professional environment and I believe it will provide a great basis for a career in asset management.
