Why do you enjoy your job?

I work in European PR and communications. This is a role I enjoy as it is multi-faceted and no two days are the same. I work closely with agencies across Europe to manage and maintain the Janus Henderson brand. We provide journalists with access to Henderson spokespeople, offering diverse comment on current financial trends and fund management.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

The biggest challenge for me, on the Investment20/20 trainee scheme, was starting in my new role at Janus Henderson. It was an area of work that was new to me, having previously worked in recruitment. The development of key skills I require for the role really stretched me and I continue learning every day.

How did you get into your job?

The Investment20/20 scheme is broad in its candidate interview selection for most roles. Therefore, I was considered for a PR role, having studied science at university. The scheme offers applicants thorough training in the role they wish to pursue, so options are always open to both school leavers and graduates, this is one of the best things about the Investment20/20 scheme.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

In short, the Investment20/20 scheme has allowed me to develop skills in a job that I enjoy, and hope to continue in. It gives candidates the opportunity to change career direction, and the platform to start a career in the financial sector.
