Why do you enjoy your job?

I enjoy my job as I work with people from a range of age, experience and different perspectives and can gain a well-rounded understanding of the job. Everyone is very friendly and easy to talk to, making work an enjoyable experience rather than a chore. There are a vast number of social and networking events which are beneficial both inside and outside of work.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

The most challenging thing about my job is adapting from being at school to a career in the investment industry. Work requires more independence and an adapted learning style to maximise development of my skills and understanding.

How did you get into your job?

I found out about my current role on the Investment20/20 website. I was originally looking to go to university but decided I would rather get real life business experience and learn on the job than study a subject for three years that would be unrelated to any career I might want. The Investment20/20 website was useful to compare the apprenticeship schemes available and select the one I would be best suited to.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

Without the Investment20/20 website I would not have found out about the availability of my apprenticeship programme and would have missed a fantastic opportunity. The Investment20/20 website made it very easy to compare the apprenticeship schemes on offer and the application process was seamless.
