Why do you enjoy your job?
The main reason I enjoy my job is that everything I am doing is a new experience to me. Before I joined I didn’t know what Procurement was and now I am starting to understand everything and the processes. I also enjoy the job because since I have joined my team I have been great in making me feel as part of the team and getting me involved.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
The most challenging thing about the job is that at the moment I don’t fully know everything and how everything works. So when someone from within the business asks a question, I am not able to answer fully. Also, there is a lot of planning involved so everything has to be thought out.
How did you get into your job?
Before this I was doing a HNC in Accounting at Fife College. I had completed this and applied to university and also applied to the Investment20/20 school leaver programme. I found this programme from a family member telling me to have a look as it may be an interest to me. After having a look I applied then went through the interview process and got an opportunity within SLA.
What are your future aspirations?
In the future I would like to maintain a job in the industry but also complete a degree whether it is while working or doing open university.
How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?
So far, the experience has been good and has helped me meet new people and learn new skills.
