Programme information
You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme. While we can’t guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12 month contract, it is our intention to make an offer to extend a further year, but this is up to how well you perform. 75% of Investment20/20 trainees are offered permanent positions.
Our traineeship will introduce you to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships enabling you to progress your career and provide you with skills to secure a permanent role. We will support you in achieving a professional qualification if this is something you are interested in doing. As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.
Our trainee programme is a fixed term one-year contract. You will receive 24 days annual leave. All roles are based in London.
Programme Summary
This is a programme intended to give you a breadth of knowledge and experience within the business to enable you to make informed decisions about where you would like to develop your career.
The main purpose of the Investment Specialist Intern is to support the other team members through producing presentation materials on behalf of the Global Fixed Income (GFI) investment team, improving and maintaining the existing tools and preparing answers to ad-hoc client requests or periodic client reporting support.

This role sits within the Client Experience team which is responsible for managing and maximizing the impact our client insights programme, developing our client proposition and deploying marketing partnerships for the Wealth & Distribution segment which covers asset managers, retail banks, insurance companies, private and wealth managers, online banks and platforms.

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Support the team on our priority marketing partnerships in the UK and further afield through monitoring KPIs and delivering on client requirements
• Contribute to the creation and analysis of our regular research programme including our annual investor study, adhoc polling, social listening and client satisfaction
• Support the team with the deployment of our annual Decoding Investors research campaign including content development, campaign planning and client engagement
• Prepare presentations and research summaries for clients, distribution colleagues and senior management
• Monitor relevant third-party research from competitors and other industry sources to provide ideas for engagement
• Support the team in building client segmentation and personas
The role holder will adhere to FCA rules and principles and the Firm’s policies and procedures. Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from Head of Compliance.
Requirements
If you are a graduate who has an interest in working within financial services and has the following attributes, we are interested in hearing from you:
• A degree in Business studies, Marketing or Finance
• Enthusiastic, inquisitive and interested in Marketing within the investment industry
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Highly organised, detail oriented with the ability to multi task
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) suite of applications
• Fluent in English
