Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated individual to join the UK Institutional Sales team in our London office for a 6-month internship. You will ultimately be responsible for supporting the team on a day-to-day basis as well as taking ownership of internal projects to enhance the teams processes and performance. The internship start date is January 2026.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is one of the largest global asset management organisations with more than 50 years of history, a presence in twenty-four countries, and a total of $1.8 trillion in assets under management as of September 30, 2025. Team Profile
The UK Institutional Sales team is a small and dynamic group within Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s Global sales force. Responsible for institutional relationships across Corporate & Local Authority Pension Funds, Insurance companies, Family Offices, Charities, Endowments and Foundations. There will be strong collaboration within the team, but also a large degree of independence required for this role, as client facing team members are often travelling.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the maintenance of client records, sales pipeline, marketing distribution lists, client mapping and sales reports
• Liaise between sales and internal business units to ensure marketing, operational, legal and reporting needs are met
• Support on responding to external client queries seeking data, excel templates, fund information and due diligence reports
• Supporting the client facing sales individuals with preparation ahead of, and after meetings
• Assistance with market mapping and research across the UK Institutional landscape
• Leading on project-based tasks to enhance the sales teams’ processes and performance
What we’re looking for:
• Excellent academic background and have graduated from university or able to take the time off to commit for a full-time internship role for 6 months if you are currently in study
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A keen interest in working in investment management and sales
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and feel comfortable working with large data sets
• Detail orientated and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently and effectively
• Track record of being proactive, self-motivated and goal-orientated
• Proven team player with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the team, MSIM and the broader organisation
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) is a plus
