Securities Services is a leading global custodian and securities services specialist that provides multi-asset post-trade and asset servicing solutions for buy and sell-side market participants, corporates and issuers.

The Role
The position is in the Financing and Collateral Services Team based in London. The first objective of the role is to learn, understand and develop key skills required to support FCS activities. Once training has been provided and key skills have been learned, there will be potential for the Trainee to provide practical support and assistance across many FCS tasks.
Securities Lending is an investment strategy whereby investors make short- or longer-term loans of their securities to generate incremental revenues from their portfolios.
Principal securities lending encompasses the provision of fail coverage services to local custody clients and opportunity lending to investment banks, broker dealers and other custodial clients of the bank.
What you’ll do
• Administrative responsibilities for the securities lending desk in London. Working alongside a small trading team to assist with daily processes.
• Booking and management of securities lending trade returns
• Implement lending recalls as a result of client sales of equities or fixed income
• Review and follow up of failing trades with Settlement teams
• Be the liaison between trading and operations. Provide operations, corporate actions, income, static, reconciliation and billing teams with relevant information to facilitate their daily tasks.
• Check corporate action and income reporting on a daily basis
• Respond to client queries in a timely manner.
• Anticipate, follow up and give priority to highly sensitive trades in coordination with operational teams (recalls, fail coverage, large trades, etc.).
• Control accuracy of P&L report and challenge inaccuracies when necessary.
• Support Head of desk and Sales with building and updating Power Point presentations and Power Bi reports (training provided).
• Actively seek opportunities to develop knowledge of the BNPP organisation both within the UK and more widely.
• Adherence to bank policies and compliance requirements.
