Business Area
Securities Services is a leading global custodian and securities services specialist that provides multi-asset post-trade and asset servicing solutions for buy and sell-side market participants, corporates and issuers.
The Institutional Investors (Asset Managers, Asset Owners & Alternative Investors) Client Line for the UK and Middle East region has responsibility for the management of the respective Client Lines within the perimeter of the role, and to ensure that the local Client Line teams are organised in order to drive the strategy and value proposition for our clients with a view to generate sustainable and profitable growth in the respective client lines and regions.
The specific purpose of the department is split into the following key deliverables:
• Go-To-Market Strategy which includes the articulation and promotion of our global strategy and value proposition for each regional Client Line
• Products & Solutions designing the business operating models and client experience and driving related development to maximise the P&L of products, adapting to client needs.
• Product Management Framework, ensuring that product capabilities are fully aligned with Compliance, Risk and Conduct policies and develop standard product management practices
• Regulatory Watch
• Strategic Client Integration, ensuring a consistent and efficient integration of new strategic business
The Role
The first objective of the role is to learn, understand and develop key skills required to support the team on various topics.
Key activities performed by Client Line are listed below:

Product & Solutions Development
This is an opportunity for the trainee to work on key topics for the bank and familiarize quickly with different products within Securities Services, interacting with people across the organization locally and globally.
They will develop essential skills such as analytical thinking, multitasking, networking and commercial mindset.
What you’ll do
The core accountabilities of the role will evolve as experience grows. Training and guidance will be provided to the trainee. Gradually the trainee will begin to take full ownership of some tasks with full support of Client Line Team. There will also be opportunities to suggest and implement ways to improve processes.
Core accountabilities of the role will include:
• Business Management
o Prepare documentation for inclusion in Securities Services governance papers (such a UK Management Meeting, Client Line Committees, Conduct Committee)
o Maintain Client Line Dashboard
o Support Local Client Line in ad-hoc requests (such as Risk assessment, compliance control, obtaining & analysing information regarding prospects eg reviewing published financial statements & reports)
• Profitability Management
o Produce documentation for local pricing requests
o Perform revenue analysis
o Draft client fee proposal
o Monitor financial report
• Regulatory Watch Management
o Monitor and track regulatory requests
What we’re looking for
Essential:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Capable of performing analysis on large data sets and presenting to an audience
• Numeric skills – confidence with basic maths for data entry
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
• Attention to detail: ability to check work carefully and ensure accuracy in task
• Good team player, ability to work collaboratively with others and be flexible and step beyond this role as and when required to contribute to group efforts
• Strong organisational skills with good personal time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to deal with all levels of the organisation
• Ability to take initiative and be autonomous

Desirable:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge in PowerBI (optional)
