    Job Description:

    Job role: An exciting opportunity has arisen in Santander Asset Management's Operations Department for an Oversight Junior Analyst role reporting in to the Senior Manager for Operations Outsourced Oversight. You will join as a trainee on a one year contract as part of the Investment20/20 programme. You’ll be based in our office in the heart of Glasgow city centre and play an integral part in supporting the Operations Department in the delivery of our core service across a number of areas.

    In this role you will be primarily responsible for the completion of both daily and periodic tasks assigned by the senior manager, working across a number of our key outsourced service providers. The work you will be expected to deliver on will play a key role in supporting the business in managing the performance of these service providers – so it has to be completed to the highest standard at all times. In return, you will be rewarded with an outstanding introduction in to the world of Asset Management, and exposure to a wide variety of our internal and external partners!

    Job Description:

    Job role: An exciting opportunity has arisen in Santander Asset Management's Compliance team for a Compliance Analyst role reporting in to the Head of Compliance. You will join as a trainee on a one year contract as part of the Investment20/20 programme. You’ll be based in their office in the heart of Glasgow/London city center and play an integral part in supporting the Risk & Compliance Function in the delivery of their core service across a number of areas, with specific focus on investment compliance, compliance monitoring tasks, compliance reporting and roll out of compliance training.

    The Compliance team are responsible for guiding SAM UK business units through applicable regulation, laws, rules of conduct, in-house policies and established industry practices and providing independent assurance to the Board and its supporting committees on the management of risks (including regulatory risks) that are owned by SAM UK business units.

    You will be involved in a variety of tasks, enabling you to develop a deep knowledge of the UK regulatory environment in which we operate, the role that a Risk & Compliance Function plays in supporting a business meet its regulatory obligations and deliver against intended customer outcomes and the wider asset management industry (including oversight of compliance with investment rules, limits and constraints via the market leading Aladdin system. You will also benefit from participating in a team where you can make your own contribution and have the opportunity to discuss and share your own views and ideas.
