The Internal Audit Trainee reports to one of the department’s Senior Internal Audit Managers, whose team has responsibility for the delivery of a range of audits, including across the asset management division’s operations teams, distribution division, real estate business and our offices in the Americas.

    Group Internal Audit works across the business and the Internal Audit Trainee may support internal audits undertaken by teams that cover other areas of the business.

    Corpotate IT

    Corporate IT support Schroders Global Legal, Compliance, HR, Finance, Risk, Facilities business customers and suppliers with all aspects of the change lifecycle, from new software evaluation through to full software solution implementation. Collectively as a team they play numerous roles. As an apprentice in the team, you will be involved in the analysis and design aspects of the software development lifecycle, however you will also contribute to the technical design, and at times provide additional development as well as testing capacity.

    Global Data Solutions Team

    The Global Data Solutions team is a technology team with a broad remit to source, master, validate and distribute data to support Schroders’ Asset Management business. As a team they have a huge amount of technical and business experience and they are happy to share their knowledge to help you learn on the job.

    Corporate Governance

    The Corporate and Asset Management Secretariat teams are responsible for the Schroders plc Group's overall governance structure - companies, joint ventures, investment trusts and funds. We provide company secretarial services to Schroders plc and the Group's UK subsidiaries, and certain overseas entities. We establish, implement, communicate and manage appropriate standards of governance for the Group.

    Institutional Client Team

    The Official Institutions team is responsible for building business and managing relationships with Schroders’ government clients worldwide, including sovereign wealth funds and central banks. These institutions in aggregate form one of the fastest growing pools of institutional assets. The role of a graduate on the team would include research on clients, their investment strategy and industry trends, and the preparation of material for training and presentation to clients.

    Client Insurance Team

    The Insurance Asset Management group is a hub of insurance knowledge and expertise within the firm. The team seeks to respond to the interest from insurance companies in having an increasingly sophisticated and specialised investment and risk dialogue with their asset manager. The group develops and supports the development of business with insurance companies worldwide.

    In both teams you’ll be working alongside a team of Client Executives & Client Managers helping to provide a responsive and proactive level of service to Schroders clients. As a trainee you will look to understand the needs of the team’s client base and deliver a high quality service. Schroders put clients at the heart of what we do so you will support the team with providing a service that will help generate confidence and gain the respect of clients, consultants and Client Directors.
