    Company Secretarial Trainee

    Polar Capital is looking for a school leaver or graduate to become a Company Secretarial Trainee.
    Job Description:

    Job role: You will join Polar Capital as a Company Secretarial Trainee as part of the Investment20/20 Trainee Programme where you will develop the key skills and knowledge required for your role. As they are a small company, you will also have exposure to other business areas, thereby gaining a breadth of industry knowledge and experience to enable you to make informed decisions about where you would like to develop your career. As part of the Company Secretarial team you will have direct exposure to client Boards of Directors and Senior Executives; you will gain a clear understanding of how a Board of Directors functions and the underlying governance of a Company. You will gain knowledge of working with different personalities and groups of individuals while balancing sometimes conflicting priorities. Where possible you will also be invited to attend client board meetings to watch the Board in action and understand the role of the Company Secretary as an Officer of the Company.
