Welcome to our inaugural Investment20/20 newsletter. Investment20/20 is the multi award-winning talent solution for the investment management industry. With the start of the academic year, our extensive programme of pre-employment activities is in full swing providing a breadth of opportunities for members to engage with aspiring professionals. Coronavirus has disproportionately impacted young people’s employment prospects and at Investment20/20 we remain committed to doing everything we can to support our industry in providing high quality opportunities for young people at this testing time.
The Government’s Plan for Jobs provides a chance for the industry to work together and offer high quality work experience opportunities which can make a real difference to young people’s lives. That is why we have included detailed insight below on what the Government’s Plan for Jobs means for our industry and how Investment20/20 can support you to make the most of these new opportunities.
The world has changed and now more than ever increased agility in early careers recruitment is needed, and a collective response is vital in order to prevent fragmentation across the sector. As the talent solution of the Investment Association, Investment20/20 convenes individual employers to enable the sector to respond more powerfully to the challenges we face.
Finally, to celebrate Black History Month, we’re providing a first-hand perspective of what it’s like to be young, black and new to our industry from two Investment20/20 participants, Taofikat Agboola and Adeyemi Thomas, in the booklet below.
