Savills Investment Management (Savills IM) is an international real estate investment manager, which is owned by Savills plc, the global real estate services group. Around 340+ staff are employed in 15 offices across Europe and Asia.

Savills IM is a global real estate investment management firm. We are in a period of rapid growth as we expand the products we offer and invest in a larger number of countries and properties. Our Information Technology team have recently launched a new Global IT & Data Strategy that seeks to build out and deliver enhanced technology and data capabilities for the business globally. The strategy has three core pillars including: Information Security, Data Management and Digital Transformation.

Programme information

You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme.  The Investment20/20 programme has over 60 investment management member firms and has supported over 2,000 young people to start their career in the industry.

You will be introduced to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships to progress your career and develop skills to secure a permanent role.  As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.

Our trainee programme is a 12-month fixed term contract with a competitive salary of £24,000 and you will receive 25 days annual leave.  This role is based in London in the Savills Investment Management office based in Oxford Circus and will be 5 days per week.

The Team

The IT department consists of 12 employees located in London, Singapore, Frankfurt and Milan. You will have the opportunity to work closely with team members in the various regions and will directly support the Head of IT in London and the IT Security Manager in Frankfurt.

At Savills Investment Management career progression is important to us, so we will continue to invest in your development to enable you to have the skills and knowledge to progress within the business. Following successful completion of your traineeship, we intend to make the role permanent with the opportunity to progress into an IT Analyst.

Responsibilities

As a Trainee, you will gain broad experience of the core functions across IT including Projects, Financials, Risk and Security and will be trained on the job.  The kind activities you will be involved in are:

• Supporting the Head of IT with managing IT costs, budgets, planning, invoicing, reporting and general administration.
• Supporting the IT Security Manager in providing cyber threat, risk analysis and monitoring, risk assessments and regulatory documentation to help protect the business and clients from information and cyber security risks in line with industry best practice.
