Digital Marketing Trainee
Why do you enjoy your job?
I work in the Digital Marketing team at Janus Henderson Investors. The role involves working closely with the channel marketers for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Latin America as well as the regional sales teams and wider marketing team to support digital marketing initiatives. The EMEA and LatAm Marketing team is responsible for building the Janus Henderson brand, building product awareness and helping to drive sales in tandem with the firm’s sales operation. I particularly enjoy managing the webinars which requires liaising with a variety of teams and gives me wide exposure to the company as a whole. My communications, organisation and project management skills have improved significantly as a result of my involvement.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
A large part of my role revolves around the content we communicate to clients via email, events, and our website. Attention to detail is fundamental - mistakes, especially concerning compliance matters - can be costly. Therefore, the responsibility involved in handling this content, uploading it to the website, organising translations and distributing it to clients in a timely manner can be challenging.
How did you get into your job?
I joined Janus Henderson after graduating from Newcastle University. Having made the decision to pursue a career in asset management, I began seeking entry level roles.
